A native Oregonian, Sean grew up in the North Willamette Valley near the historic town of Aurora. After high school, he served in the U.S. Navy as an avionics technician at Miramar NAS in San Diego during the first Gulf War. After an honorable discharge he utilized his G.I. Bill to graduate with a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Oregon. While at the U. of O. he was able to study international business in Cologne, Germany and get his first glimpse of great European art and culture. Upon graduation Sean became an owner in a specialty food distribution business in Portland, Oregon for approximately 10 years before devoting himself full time to a career in the historic art world.
Since his first real art purchase in 2004, Sean has engrossed himself in all aspects related to the art industry. His main focus has been on paintings with an appreciation for sculpture and ceramics as well. He has also spent hundreds of classroom hours studying the history and progression of art from the earliest cave paintings up through the 20th Century. He has a strong passion and desire for constantly learning and sharing about the artists and movements that have shaped the diverse art world we live in today.
